Last night the North East Herts Conservative Association Patrons' Club held their Annual Dinner at the Churchill War Rooms in Westminster. A full crowd welcomed former Minister, Lord Young of Cookham, as their Guest Speaker. They were entertained by a fascinating speech about previous Governments and previous elections in which Lord Young had been heavily involved. However, he was particularly praising of Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his determination to deliver the result of the referendum on Brexit. Following a long question and answer session a vote of thanks was given by North East Herts Conservatives President Viscount Trenchard who explained to the audience that Lord Young was one of the most popular and respected members of the House of Lords and his wisdom and advice had been welcomed by all sides of the House. Finally, Sir Oliver Heald outlined the main Conservative policies for the election campaign including record investment in the NHS, a large increase in the number of Police officers on the beat and tougher policies on crime.
